Gaiv Tata has also been involved in several noteworthy initiatives including as: 

• Senior Advisor to the CEO of the World SME Forum (2015-2017).   He supported the establishment of this international organization focusing on the growth and impact of SMEs (www.worldsmeforum.org).

• Advisor, African Development Fund Policy Innovation Lab, African Development Bank (2015-2017). This Gates Foundation funded initiative managed by the African Development Bank resulted in a High Level Panel Report on the Future of Concessional Finance in Africa.  As one of the international development finance experts on the team, Gaiv co-authored the Report and a working paper on Recent Trends in Development Finance in Africa (African Development Fund Policy Lab).

• Visiting Fellow at the Center for Global Development (2015-2016). Gaiv was a member of the Working Group which recommended approaches to mitigating the unintended consequences of Anti-Money Laundering Policies on poor countries (CGD Report Unintended Consequences AML Policies).
